Fore! integrates with IP security cameras, DVR's, NVR's and encoders that have implemented the ONVIF standard. Fore! can also act as a small scale network video recorder (NVR) for maximum 4 cameras.

Use the Discover button to detect all available ONVIF cameras in your network. If your camera is not discovered you can use the Camera troubleshooting guide to fix common issues with your installation.

The Login and Password are used to login to the camera using the ONVIF protocol.

When a camera is set to Active Fore! will fetch live video images from the camera and show them it the interface. When Store video is checked Fore! will also store the video images on the harddisk. Fore! will try to create its own (M)JPEG ONVIF profile on the camera. If this fail it will use the highest quality (M)JPEG profile it can find.

Fore! stores video as a series of JPEG images in a folder on the harddisk. The location of the folder can be set at the image storage settings page. To reduce the file size Fore! by default uses motion detection to determine which images to store. For each camera the motion detection sensitivity can be set from 0% (no images stored) to 100% (all images stored).

Use the Video max storage days setting to set the maximum number of days video images are allowed to be stored.

Note The actual number of days of video storage of your Fore! server depends on harddisk size, number of connected cameras, the used bitrate and the amount of motion.

ONVIF devices with multiple channels will be shown with the following icon: Nvr icon.png. These devices will have an additional Discover button on the settings page that can be used to add their individual channels to Fore!.
